From a place of memory and longing, improvisation flows into movement and song.
The minutiae of everyday life - found sounds & field recordings become broken latin rhythms, melancholy folksong becomes electric distortion.
Pushing the limits of the voice, she uses custom made motion sensors to control effects live, and with the movement of a hand freezes and warps her music.
I acknowledge and pay respect to the Gadigal people, and their stolen land called Kogerah where I am grateful to make my home, and Yaranabe and Carraginn where I walk by the water. I also acknowledge the Mayan, Zapotec & Mixtec people of Southern Mexico who are the traditional custodians of the lands on which I have lived and created.
