About

Jessie Newling is a composer based in Eora/Sydney. Her work draws together many musical threads.

She is a vocalist, live electronic performer, songwriter, sound artist and producer.

Jessie lived half her life in Mexico, where, as a single mother she supported her two children by singing everywhere from cantinas to haciendas.

Returning to Australia in 2019 she found her way through historical voice studies into electronic and experimental music composition and performance.

She performs solo and with her duo Maquina Anonima.
